As an Australian, I was told by a super rich that the reason why New Zealand is so attractive to billionaires around the world is because New Zealand is too small and insignificant for any other country to care about or even invade if there's a world war. Also, if getting a New Zealand passport is too hard, you can always get an Australian passport, Australia and New Zealand have a special pact when it comes to citizenship, Australians can: travel, live, work, buy properties, get treated like a New Zealand citizen and vice versa. eg: New Zealand recently banned foreigners from buying properties in New Zealand unless you're an Australian citizen, also you won't get deported back to Australia if you commit a crime in New Zealand.

The problem that you forgot to mention is water. Only a very small amount of surface water is drinkable and the percentage is 0.5%. It doesn't matter how much food you have, you are just as screwed if you have no drinking water.
