In this educational video I will disassemble and upgrade the Toshiba Satellite C855 laptop CPU or Processor from an Intel i3 2nd gen to an i5 3rd gen processor next I will replace the HDD with a SSD and replace the 4GB DDR3 RAM with an 8GB DDR3 RAM memory.
I had to also remove the CMOS battery the keyboard and unplug the touchpad and power button to continue going inside the laptop and replace and upgrade the hardware parts inside.
I will also clean the CPU fan and remove the old thermal paste and add fresh one at the end I will also install a fresh copy of the Microsoft Windows 10 Pro operating system.
Thanks for watching and have a great day hopefully this helped you out.

This is cool, and helped me a little as I’m
Upgrading a Toshiba laptop I was given for free to i7 and ssd, and 16gb ram. But why did you not clone the drive? It would save a lot of time and you wouldn’t have to reinstall windows. Plus everything on HDD will then be on your ssd

Some people say the c855D is compatible with a i7 3612qm and the I7 3640QM. I wanted to ask if you ever tried using one of those CPUs

What is the max RAM it can support? Do you need to replace the cooling fan with a better one (improved air flow for the newer CPU)? When you replaced the CPU, did the system prompt you to update the BIOS, or did you update it before the change? Thank you
