In this lesson, we will discuss machine learning and neural networks. We will learn about the overall topic of artificial intelligence (AI), with machine learning (ML) being a subset of AI. Neural networks are then a subset of machine learning. Neural networks are a technique where a computer network performs a task without human intervention and trains and improves over time. Applications are in artificial general intelligence, finance, speech recognition, image recognition, self driving cars, and more. We will discuss the networks weights and biases and learn how a real neural network operates and how it is trained.

I am a seventy five year old retired lawyer. I congratulate you on your excellent teaching methodologies.
I have improved my knowledge regarding the Periodic Table and now nn or ml learning. Thank you sir.

Your explanation is good sir, nailed it easy and simple lots of love from india, my youtube math and science teacher, thanks a lot sir, you dont know sir, how much you are helping students

Really cool that you’re doing this videos Jason, in this format. I have done at least 100+ hours of math at your website, and you were the one influence that made me realise that I was “smart” enough to study CS and Math.

OMG its you when i first start study electronic engineer at univercity at 2017 i was struggle understanding on circuit analysis course becasee the professor went too fast he didnt recall about any principle knwledge so i search on internet and found your course i learn 2 or 3 course from you and now 2024 i'm about to change my career and its you again thank you so much for everything sir you are one of my great teacher i respect you from all my hearth

Back a few years ago when I took a 5 five plan on your website I knew you were the best tutor out there. The particular attention you give to me (us) is more valuable to me than a college class. Thank you Jason for all your hard work and all the lives you are impacting. I hope you get more subscribers and continue making more videos.

Only who understand well can make it simple and easy to grasp.
Good teacher is a talent, hard work, dedicated to your job and having the will to give your best, I think you enjoy teaching too.
it is a great achievement to make people like science and you did it.

As a cell biologist I am happy that finally somebody made the basic principles of deep learning very clear! This is exactly what a very interested non-AI specialist should know. By the way you do that for ALL your contributions. EXCELLENT and thank you!

I watched hundreds of videos to understand the topic, they all started from an advanced point that's only understandable by professionals. You sir explained the basics very good that a non professional like me (I'm a radiologist) could figure out the basic idea. Thanks so much 👍

As usual, the best explanation from Jason.
Actually I’ve been waiting for you having a course on ML and DL long time ago.
Kudos for you Jason, you’re more than amazing!!!

Sir I'm a teenager and I'm from Pakistan 🇵🇰 and I'm poor and I have no access to higher school and colleges so continue your work especially about the new discovery AI and MACHINE LEARNING and Quantum computing I will be so thankful to you for this act of kindness

You're someone I trust for honest information on the subject. You don't need the flashy background since we come here to listen to your lecture.

the first time i subscribed to your channel after listening to you, i developed a new hobby to study even more. You make the complexities assiciated with learning very simple .You are a great teacher

Man, Sir, you deserve a deep respect for this presentation. You have nailed it to the most important aspects and in manner that people can not only understand it but also be able to make experimental setups in the Matlab. I am writing this because I read about it and listen about it, watched other NN YouTube presentations even tried myself, and I understood the NN to some degree before. However, this is the first video, after I have no questions about it. Does not mean I understand all, it just left me to understand enough to be on my own. Thanks so much.

I could easily say this was the best explanation of any concept I've watched on youtube. The emphasis on explaining the building blocks of a hugely misconceived topic such as ML is amazing... Well executed 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Dude, your explanations and way of teaching are really incredible! The pace, the simplicity... 100% on point, I'm also glad that you went back to describe the math basics as they were needed. Thank you man!

Finally, a quick and simple overview to explain the basis of neural network for a computer geek. Thank you!

Very nice intro, thank you. As a theoretical physicist trained in quantum mechanics (aka Hilbert spaces) it was easy to follow. And I know how difficult it is to develop such lectures, with the interested but not very experienced student in mind, so thank you again and congratulations!
