The Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT-1) Cavite Extension Phase 1 is one step closer to launch after it completed its first successful test run on December 19.

With the extension, Filipinos living to the south of the metro will soon be able to take the railway, which also connects to the Light Rail Transit Line 2 (LRT-2) and Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3)

The Cavite Extension will connect from the existing southernmost station on the line, Baclaran Station. Phase 1 of the project includes five new stations running for 6.7 kilometers.

Phase 1 is the First Five Stations The Redemptorist Station near Baclaran
Manila International Airport (MIA) Station and Asia World Station that will be connected to PITX Terminal.Ninoy Aquino Station will be the closest station to the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), although it will not connect directly to NAIA and the Dr A Santos Avenue Station near SM Sucat.

There are three more stations planned aside from those in the first phase, namely Las Piñas Station,Zapote Station and Niog Station.

Once completed, the LRT-1 Cavite Extension is expected to cut travel time between Pasay City and Cavite from an hour and a half to just 25 minutes.

Very sad pag nakita ko yang mga design nang mga LRT station na yan, very insulting sa aming mga engineer, marami tayon magaling na Architect dapat modern design concept, kumuha nalang sana sila nang student sa university kong hindi maka afford nang mga magaling na designer.

Snippet: I don't know why the blue-print would agree to put a monstrous sized train-station right in the middle of a very busy road. Could that be relocated on the side of the road instead of putting it in the center? It's blocking everybody's driving visibility. Let's go ahead and move it for everybody's safety. Who's going to ride on that train, I don't see residents living near the train nor housing. Get it right the 1st time para hinde masayang ang pagod at pera. God bless you. mar2024

baka ayaw lang nilang aminin na kinapos sila sa puhunan kaya ibinagay ang disenyo sa ibang mga lumang himpilan ng tren. dahil kung iisipin natin, malapit sya sa paliparan tapos makaluma yung disensyo? wala itong saysay.
