Do you know how primary care access and the lack of health equity in each New York City Council district has impacted how communities are experiencing the COVID-19 pandemic? The Primary Care Development Corporation (PCDC) hosted a webinar to re-present a report produced in FY21 with financial support from the Council, exploring primary care access and equity within the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, with data from New York City’s Council Districts.
Mary Ford, MS, Director of Evaluation and Analytics at PCDC reviewed key findings within the report, including the relationship between access to primary care and the severe impact of COVID-19 across the city. Jordan Goldberg, J.D., Director of Policy at PCDC discussed several policy recommendations for Council Members, policy makers, and primary care advocates to consider to increase primary care access and equity across the city.
