How My PRs used to move

In 2024, I made it a goal to not just move heavy weight, but to move it WELL.
I didn’t see the point in just hitting a PR anymore to be struggling in pain for days after. I want to be the strongest I can for the longest I can.
For the first few years of my lifting and competing life I could get away with grinding out PRs and unperiodized programming. Beginners can do this. But ‘just trying to add 5lbs’ every week and just trying to PR every 4th week of my program only worked for so long until it took a toll on me mentally and physically. I was failing reps more often than not. This had me dredding the thing I loved the most. It only lasted so long until I had back pain every time I deadlifted and squatted.
In 2023 I had hit a plateau in all my lifts.
I made some changes and in 2024 I started moving the most weight I’ve ever moved and I started moving it fast☺️🚀
