All will pass. So will I. So will you. We are the Samsara aware of itself. The gift we received is the capacity to act on the present.

Ryuichi Sakamoto is undoubtely one of the best composers in the world. I was just a child when I listened The Last Emperor film for the first time, and I totally fell in love with his music. He has such a special sesibility that is incomparable to any other composer.

High and Human Culture: an ancient Sanskrit 'Heart Sutra' sung operatically in High Baroque in a beautiful score by a wonderful Japanese composer Sakatomo....for those of us all along the spiritual path it is so heartening to hear this universal all origin recognition of the perfection of human consciosness in this life. We're all of the material world nirvana by and large these days...we're pretty far from this path to be honest...but that doesnt mean we cant evaluate and repoint ourselves in the correct direction as would be done in any spiritual academy. I spent a third of my life trying to achieve a higher there were other lessons i needed to learn...perhaps the most important:how to have peace with our everyday lives...how to learn the lesson of everyday life. And now i am in my six decade of this life and this is the time to complete the circle at least as well as can be done. Yes there have been much witness along the way but to sustain is the eternal conclusion and blessing....in the preparation to die is the lessons on how to live.

Ruychi Sakamoto seems to be one of the best currently working composers. Way above the current average level

I have listened to this score hundreds of times. But today, I realized that the lyrics is the Prajnaparamita Heart Sutra in Sanskrit - the Essential Perfection of Wisdom:

iha śāriputra: rūpaṃ śūnyatā śūnyataiva rūpaṃ
(O Sariputra, form is emptiness, emptiness is form
rūpān na pṛthak śūnyatā śunyatāyā na pṛthag rūpaṃ
(emptiness does not differ from form, form does not differ from emptiness, )
yad rūpaṃ sā śūnyatā; ya śūnyatā tad rūpaṃ
(whatever is emptiness, that is form)
evam eva vedanā saṃjñā saṃskāra vijñānaṃ [this line did not get sung]
(the same is true of feelings, perceptions, impulses, and consciousness)
mantraḥ. tadyathā: gate gate pāragate pārasaṃgate bodhi svāhā
(mantra, like this: "gone, gone, everyone gone to the other shore, awakening, svaha.")
I was completely stunned and moved to tears to hear Sanskrit singing in such an artful, operatic manner.
‪#‎mindblown‬
Correction: wow I did not realize that the last line was actually the mantra of the heart sutra - now everything is clear!
mantraḥ. tadyathā: gate gate pāragate pārasaṃgate bodhi svāhā
(mantra, like this: "gone, gone, everyone gone to the other shore, awakening,  svaha.")
