Have you ever experienced that feeling of knowing you were meant for more? More challenge? More discovery? More influence? Me too. So I tried basically...everything. I got my masters and certificates. I started presenting at conferences. I changed schools and grade levels. I taught with amazing colleagues at the best schools. And yet, I could never kick that feeling in my gut that was telling me I needed to go beyond the classroom.

There is nothing minimal about using your gifts to impact the lives of students. It’s an honorable calling that none of us take lightly. But if you’ve ever felt like going to work has become mundane and a bit like Groundhog Day, I want you to listen to this episode. See if you notice any overlap in my experience and yours. I want to tell you the story of how I made the leap to work beyond the classroom. How did I do it? When did I know? What steps did I take? The transition didn’t happen overnight, but the difference between then and now? Peace and confidence. Could you use a little more of that right now?

In this episode, we’ll explore:

What prompted me to start exploring a career beyond the classroom
When and why I doubted that a transition was even possible
Why it took me so long to take action when I was craving more growth
How I was able to secure new work opportunities based on my strengths and passions
How YOUR story of finding career fulfillment may be closer than you think

hello, thank you for sharing ...I have been teaching, coaching and training teachers for more than 30 years. I have gone through a lot. This year i decided to quit, finally...to do something more...something else...maybe to inspire others like you are doing. Great for you.

Great story!!

This is a helpful channel.

'You seem like a very compassionate/kind person - I love your demeanor!

I taught an underserved young adult population ( 16-24 years old) where I taught Math for about decade here in the SF Bay Area.

It's very true what's stated on your channel where it's convenient and comfortable to remain in teaching.

I did get burned out eventually and been studying ID for awhile. While I like the creativity involved, I do question working with SMEs and feel like frustration will ensue.

I been thinking of other areas in Learning & Development that will be a better fit. Perhaps you can provide some suggestions? Thanks.
