The sweet and gentle natures of the lyricists/composers back then can't be matched today.
Perhaps that's why our modern generation are so angry all the time! Thank you RODGERS and HAMMERSTEIN!

Christopher Plummer was a great actor. He should have been nominated for Oscar in the Sound of Music.

Just heard of Christopher Plummer's passing. RIP. Good bye, good man. Thinking of Charmian and Heather, too. Can't help but cry a bit at the end of this documentary, thinking of them. What an amazing movie Sound of Music was.

I cannot imagine anyone else playing the role of Maria but Julie Andrews anytime I think of Julie I think of her doing that iconic opening twirl on the mountain

It's my favorite movie of all time. Liesl ( Charmian Carr ) not only was so beautiful, I just love her gorgeous magnetic voice. Her voice reminded me of my favorite singer Karen Carpenter.

The Sound of Music is my favorite musical of all time. I'm between the ages of the younger 2 girls and grew up with the movie. They don't make them like this one anymore. It's the best! 💞

The Sound of Music, was the very first movie I ever watched in a movie theatre. And was in a movie theatre owned by my grandfather. One of my favourite memories.

27NOV2020, IN 1967 HIGH SCHOOL AT ST SCHOLASTICA, SAN FERNANDO, PAMPANGA, PHILIPPINES, NUNS AND TEACHERS ACCOMPANY ALL THE STUDENTS AT THE MOVIE THEATRE IN PLAZA OR (BAYAN) TO WATCH "THE SOUND OF MUSIC." AFTER MY ENGLISH TEACHER IMELDA DAVID ASKED THE CLASS TO WRITE A BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE MOVIE, HOLY COW MY ENGLISH THEN IS NOT AS GOOD AS NOW IM IN AUSTRALIA. (NOT ALL WORDS). I STILL LIKE/LOVE WATCHING IT IF I HAVE THE SPARE TIME, GOOD TIME REMINISCENCE. LOVE YOU JULIE ANDREWS..🌹🌹🌹💝💝💝
