How to recover stuff that's no longer in trash?

You see how In the Folder list on the left side of the AOLdesktop, you have a folded "Inbox"? but in my folder list there is no Inbox but two folders -- "New Mail" and "Old Mail." I HATE this configuration because as soon as I read an email in the New Mail folder, it auto moves to the Old Mail folder. The Inbox folder however keeps all emails together. What is even more odd is that In the two other AOL User Names that I have in that same AOL account, they both have an Inbox instead of the two New and Old folders. So how do I get rid of New Mail, Old Mail folders and get an Inbox folder to replace them?

I can't figure out where to go ask this: when i send an email out of my gmail account, the address shows up in my aol address book. how can i prevent that? any suggestions from anyone would be ever wonderful. thank you.

I accidentally deleted drafts, they appeared in my trash tab so i moved them to my inbox and they WERE there but now i can't find them. How does one recover them then?
