This is the entire reason Matt moved to America, you can't convince me otherwise.

Michael MJD did a good documentary-video on the history of the image

Oh my god, shot on Velvia 50, that makes a lot of sense haha! Always wondered why it was so incredibly vivid, nothing like pulling a bit of freshly developed velvia out of the tank and those colors just blast your eyes

I live in Sonoma, California! My dad has to drive by that hill to get to work!

Its so ironic that MacOS 14 is called MacOS Sonoma, which is where the windows XP picture was taken

For anybody on desktop who wants to pull up this short in the traditional player, add &=0s to the end of the URL.

Protip for anyone visiting: Pull off CA-12 to Ramal Rd and park on a corner of the large dirt road intersection immediately in front of you. Cross CA-12 carefully and then it's a short walk to your right through some front yards.

Also, best time to visit if you want to see it green is in February or March.

1.Well, it was taken in Los Carneros American Viticultural Area of California's Wine Country.
2.The windows xp wallpaper was called "Bliss", originally titled Bucolic Green Hills

This has the same exact vibe of that guy who along with others found the exact Minecraft world seed and coordinates of a famous default world thumbnail

They needed to use the current look of this place for windows 11, the out of box experience is too clean and clinical

This was my home town, I grew up driving through that street a lot. I was pretty confused, to say the least, when, my family got our first computer and it was a picture of right next to my grandma’s house haha
