Wait, so computers that run Microsoft updates from Crowdstrike are the ones affected? I don't even get my updates from Crowdstrike, I only update my Windows computer through its already built-in Microsoft update program. Does that mean my computer will still be affected by the outage? Because I turned on my computer just now and didn't see a blue screen error message.

Why would they not test this on a very small scale instead of just hey lets just do it to everyone. And on top of it their should Always be a back u plan with a company this huge. Insane to me that anything is possible especially with tech and electricity. We now relay on those things today so did they not have a back up plan just in case something were to happen. A company that big should always think ahead. What if, what can we do if something goes wrong etc. Mind blowing tbh.

(Face_exhaling emote), I mean there was that old rumor of Microsoft with Windows 11 altering something with how a PC checked to confirm things when booting up that those that use multiple operating systems noticed because it wasn't letting them load up any other OS other then it. I mean other operating systems aren't being affected and I could see something small like that causing this much of a problem if the update tried to have a PC load the way it was supposed to before that change. Just my thoughts for anybody that reads this and wants to look it up.
