Local officials are calling for stricter penalties for those who drive under the influence throughout Nevada roadways...

Wednesday afternoon, the Nevada legislature heard Senate Bill 304, which proposes changes to current state laws by implementing stricter penalties for DUI drivers.

Sandy Heverly, the Executive Director of Stop DUI Nevada, believes the bill could enhance road safety.

“What we're trying to do is eliminate the three prior DUIs that are required to prosecute a DUI death under that law. Why are we giving people three chances to kill us? It doesn't make sense.” Heverly said.

The legislature passes the buck on the serious issues. Victims of DUIs and Hit & Runs get no justice from
weak women and weaker men judges and weak DA... They should resign... Legislators too...
