How To Live On One Income

There is a whole lot more I could say on this topic, but it is entirely possible to live on one income. The secret to it is to learn to save money, and live below your means. Proverbs 13:7 perfectly describes how to be truly wealthy by making yourself poor. I preached a sermon on this topic a few years ago, and I will provide the link below:

How to be saved:

If you have been blessed by the teaching and preaching of this ministry, (and if the Lord leads you to) we would like you to prayerfully consider donating to King James Video Ministries. ALL of our videos are given FREELY to anyone who wants to watch them, but it costs us a lot of time and money to do this. My channel is NOT monetized on YouTube, and we rely solely on the body of Christ to support us, according to 1 Corinthians 9:7-11.

You can also send checks, money orders, or cash directly to our ministry.
Our ministry address is:

King James Video Ministries
P.O. Box 214
Patten, ME 04765

I no longer have an email account due to receiving thousands of emails every day. I can not write back to everyone. If you need to get in contact with me, please send a letter to the ministry address above. If you want to send something to Katherine or Oliver, PLEASE DO NOT PUT THEIR NAME ON THE ENVELOPE. Just send it to my name (Bryan Denlinger) or to the ministry name (King James Video Ministries). Thank you very much.

I heard this quote one time:

“We buy things we don’t need with money we don’t have to impress people we don’t like”.

Used 2013 Chevy Cruze w/ 99, 000 miles blew a head gasket. I made the decision to fix it up.
Im wanting in the future to get a beater car or a motorcycle.

Car problems will push you to learn more about vehicles and motors. The Lord teaches me through my problems and trials.

We have lived off one income for almost 8 years. We live in a beautiful home next to a state park. Our kids have been homeschooled for 6 years and we are all happy and healthy. We live in Northern Virginia and visit many beautiful parks. I am a thrift store junkie so love a frugal find. God bless you. Tell your wife I'm a former shipmate too.

Not only pride can destroy a relationship it can destroy a person that takes the Bible out of context and not admitting they were wrong after they finally realize they made a mistake. I may not be living in a nice house but I always been good at not getting in debt. Don't like paying interest. I been this way all my life and don't have the love for more money or gold, I just feel happy and greatful for what I already have. I can totally relate and agree with you, God bless you on your quest of survival and happiness

Hearing you talk about “bump starting” your stick shift ranger brought back memories. In Jersey we’d say “pop the clutch” instead but yes. Memories. I miss driving manual.

Back in 2019 Father directed me to purchase Silver. I ignored that request for about 6 months, while I studied up on Silver. I have purchased 1 ounce a week ever since. I am not in the US so holding Silver is a bit alien to most of those around me. Prices for everything have risen and more than doubled in some cases. (Bread. milk, egg's) and as I am on a very limited income due to ongoing illness. Learning how to be frugal has become second nature, but this way of life is not a weakness but a strength for I know no other way of life that will teach one to be both humble and wise in all things.

Ps. Brother, I haven't been able to walk without aid for a couple of years now, I use to love walking through the bush/scrub. Thank you for taking me on this walk with you, the scenery way beautiful, the wind in the leaves of the trees @ the twenty four minute mark, gave me a moment to appreciate life. Have a Blessed day.

All things are possible in the Lord by faith. Faith is not a substance like money or possessions.
- Hebrews 11:1 KJV  Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
- Hebrews 11:6 KJV  But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Was thinking about this exact thing yesterday while driving, I need this as it convicts me. Praise the Lord! Can’t wait for the studies on the new books!

I cut up old, worn clothes and use these as wipes and as dishwashing sponges, rather than buying rolls of paper towels/sponges; makes a big difference once you calculate your expenses yearly. Two, often one healthy meal a day, along with fasting: gives your stomach lining time to repair itself, among other amazing health benefits; haven't bought new clothes for a long time, secondhand clothes enable me to blend in on the rough streets here perfectly, almost no one gives me a second look (I do have one set of "job interviews" clothing I've used for years). I use glass jars and wash my ziploc bags too, as well as cycling back and forth and walking to every destination, except during winter (Edit: Actually, I still walk as often as I'm able to, a few blocks from the bus stop to the store during winter, it gets very cold here, you'll get frostbite within minutes). Also, I scrape the whites off the shells from my boiled eggs, you know how often the whites get stuck and wasted when you peel these.

We live on one income. I work OT every week and we hike/camp for family trips because it’s inexpensive. My car and home isn’t impressive but both get the job done

Single for 25+ years. I’m a female who lives off my paycheques. I have had to adapt to having enough and not enough. It’s easy to go without things, makes when you can have things even better. I enjoy going with out. It makes me feel stronger. I’m not materialistic so that sure helps.

Thank you Bryan, your detailed analysis of things that "ALL" of us Should be aware of, makes plain, thr Real World we reside on. Being Unsaved will be a dreadful burden to those whom critisize with blocked ears.

Thank you for making simple, complex subjects and Backing up tall hat you say with Scripture-you are a Blessing to aware Christians, across the World!

Thank you I’ve been there and done that I have been laughed at for washing my Ziploc bags and I also would ride my motorcycle until I couldn’t take the cold any longer because it was better on gas than my station wagon. Back then things were made in America and completely unaffordable these days the younger can afford to buy new and they don’t want to live like their parents lived.
