Our bodies are endowed with a circadian rhythm - a biological clock. This biological process runs on 24-hour cycles and is associated with sunlight and darkness. It is so important to stay in sync with our biological clocks.

Incandescent light bulbs, and using electronic devices at night can disrupt our circadian patterns. Melatonin peaks in total darkness so it is important to turn off all of these devices at night.

Likewise, getting enough light matters as well. When light enters your eyes it affects a small gland in your brain called the hypothalamus. When this does not receive full spectrum sunlight your biological rhythms can be disrupted.
