Who ever said a good coach had to be a nice guy.... Knight settled for just being a good coach.

Tell you what...for a guy as old as he is, who people also say is lying, there wasn’t to much stuttering or repeated “ya knows” in his explanation lol

Knight cared for no one other than Knight. He's a classless thug who was smart about basketball... big deal. He was not a hero, not a role model, and not a coach in that sense.

I only turned 27 this year, but the older I get, the more I like Coach Knight.

Bobby Knight is a real man and doesn't cheat or bullshit. He is a little egotistical and a hothead but no one coaches basketball better

Mean, bitter old man. He would have gotten out of coaching a whole lot earlier than he did if he had grabbed my kids throat.

IU was a beast back in day, and it wasn t due to talent at IU, it was a great system, he had a football coach temper and in football you can smack and kick but basketball it s different way of coaching

He is a bully that thought he was bigger than Indiana University. Good riddance. Coaches like him should not be allowed to physically and emotionally abuse young men.

Knight was always a jerk. Period. Dude was insufferable. He was a cartoon character who was hopelessly out of touch with the world around him. In this interview, and many others, he is expressing his disappointment that he was not allowed to carry on as he always had. He should’ve been checked many years earlier. No one respected him. He was a jackass and proud of it.

It was hard for us power lifters to think he was anything but a jerk. And we're the ones who made today's athlete's what they are, except for the brain damage. (They know who they are.)

Two things are completely wrong here- Knight physically assaulting people he knew couldnt fight back and he never publicly said he was sorry to his helpless victims. Now he can barely move around in life, and needs a bodyguard in case someone wants
