I met young irakis a couple of years ago and I was amazed at how nice they were, they did not judge or criticize and refrained from passing judgement on anything or anyone, they just said things were complicated, they were young but seemed so mature...., the Iraqi youth does not seem to be hateful, they are not chanting for the death of anyone, there is no hatred in their eyes but hope, it looks like they sincerely want to make the best of their future.

I met the most wonderful hopeful people at The Station (the co-working space) from Iraqi Traveller's Cafe a year ago and it was super inspiring. Let's hope the beef between Iran and Israel doesn't disrupt the progress being made in Baghdad in a spillover effect.

One of my closest friends family is from Iraq. His family came to the US in the mid 70s. I have never met such a warm welcoming and honest family like his. The country has known nothing but dark ages and war for the last half century. Now we are getting to see the true people of Iraq come to life.
