The word Shawarma comes from the Turkish word Çevirme (Turn/turned thing). But a vertical kebab is always, ALWAYS. Called Döner kebab (spinning kebab)

Arabs use the word Shawarma that comes from Turkish to describe a multitude of dishes including döner.

And Greeks changed (basically just translated) Döner to Gyros (also means to turn / spin) to make it wound Greek.

Knafeh is the best dessert, the crust and the taste of the sweetness with the cheese is just the best

Künefe is a sweet desert with cheese inside. Personally, I love it! It sounds weird but you can't actually taste the cheese that much and it's honestly so good! I definitely recommend it
