We try and mulch most of our lawns from around mid September onwards which helps them stay green and keep growing.

I feed and weed my customers lawns 3 times a season. Extra revenue from that and the grass grows for longer so you get an extra 1 or 2 cuts out of each of them too before they go to monthly for the winter👍

Definitely invest in a mulching plug when theres little growth its a win win situation as you feed the grass and you dont have to pick it up 🤠 . Worst case you may have to go over it twice but the finish still looks 👌 been mulching 70% since 1st August 👍🍻 even mulched a wet lawn yesterday and that still looked good.. did have to give the the mower a scrape afterwards but still looked good 👍

I use to try and keep cutting regardless. This is because say if you chose not to cut one visit, then it rains the next, then you turn up at the next visit (6 / 8 weeks later) You may have a little more work on your hands considering lack of rain.

I don’t know how you feel but weeds need less rain to grow and these still grow faster than the grass, so although the grass might not have grown, I always advise cutting regularly still to avoid the weeds going to seed and blowing/spreading.

Some lawns barely growing for past four weeks here on South Coast. Others still growing but more slowly. I took a weeks holiday, as last year I found the grass slowed end of Aug creating a lull just before autumn leaves start, and people start questioning if it's worth a visit. So I figured I'd give them a break, take a break myself and hopefully it'll be a bit longer and messier by now so they'll be glad to have me back round 😅

Im having the same problem, ive had multiple customers cancel due to no growth, the grass cutting season seems to be getting smaller and smaller every year.

Until last week lawns were entering dormancy here south of London but just been rescued by some good rain so think it’s back now, I think probably too late in year for long dry spell before end of season. Keep up the the good content

Here in Preston it hasn’t stopped. Almost continual rain. The fed lawns are a mare. It was about 5 years ago I remember some lawns hardly growing between cuts.

Last year down here in Surrey i did a couple of cuts into early Dec and did same end of Jan first time I've ever cut grass every month of the year. I think some of the lads down in Cornwall have been doing all year round for a good few years now 👍

Here in Scotland the grass is still growing, taking the same amounts of each garden as the rest of the year, plenty rain and sun most days here (mostly rain🙄)
