Don McLean performing American Pie on the Rock Legends Cruise 2022 on Feb 15, 2022. This is a painfully obvious amateur recording using consumer-grade non-professional equipment (i.e. an iPhone and/or point and shoot digital camera). As such, this is a crude approximation of what it was like to experience this performance live as I did while recording it. I can attest that the sound mix sounded much, much better live. Please accept my apologies for the camera drift / jitter, etc. as I was filming amongst a crowd and my attention was focused on the performance rather than the recording. And started singin': So bye bye miss American pie drove my chevy to levy but the levy was dry and good ol' boys drinkin' whisky and rye and singin'this will be the day that I die🎶.. gosh! The voice.. I came here because my papa informed me that Don Mclean just had a recent cersion of this song.. haha! My papa's a musician that's why I grew up loving classic/old songs and this is just one of my fave ones.. I dream of performing this on stage eh.. one of the longest (lyrics wise) songs ever composed..
