I don't agree at all, I lived for 8 years in Dubai and few months in Saudi and now choosing Saudi as a base because I feel the peace in Saudi and no bling feeling like Dubai . Not only peace but also the kindness, growth mindset and authenticity, they keep their values and authenticity while getting also more futuristic but totally different vibes than Dubai

Iv been to Jeddah, Saudi, and it’s not like the west at all. I’m my opinion, yes there are western chain stores etc, but a lot of the architecture is so beautifully Middle Eastern, the people are so beautiful in their cultural attires which you see majority off, even in the westernised buildings the decor and interior is all Middle Eastern, the scents absolutely amazing, Middle Eastern scents. So I’m not sure about the western part.

Saudis are great, traditional family values etc. But I think people have too high hopes or expectations going there asif everyone is supposed to be perfect.

Western characteristics are present in the big cities.. but most Saudi families follow the traditions, follow Islam - daily practices are traditional. Very. Not exactly like we would act in Europe or in America (either Central, South or North).
