Being a small business owner, I too, have had to deal with this type of customer. "Why do you charge so much for your products? I understand(no they don't) that you have a lot of time and money invested in your products, but you shouldn't charge so much money for them". My question to them is, "What are you comparing my prices to?" "I understand you want a lower price, but my products and my time and skill level to produce them are worth more than you're willing to pay. I appreciate your offer, but I don't think it's going to be beneficial for either of us to work at that price point. I won't take your money if you don't think my products are worth what I charge for them." Everyone is wanting a lower price on things, including me, but it's just like my father use to tell me, " you get what you pay for". A lower price won't buy you a better built product. The demise of the small business owner, who makes a better quality product, came about when the Walmart's of the world came into existence, selling inferior products for less money. Most everything you buy nowadays, is a throwaway item that doesn't last. I try to only buy quality built products that will last longer than their warranty does. Even though they will cost me more initially, it will last longer than the cheaper priced items. People are so fixated with a lower price that they will overlook the quality of that product. I'm glad that RV dealer realized that they didn't want that person as a customer. It probably saved them a lot of future headaches! Love your "campfire" discussions and wish you continued success!

I remember Paul Harvey. He was honest and spoke it.

I’ve been is sales for over 50 years. Never had a good experience with the price only customers. Old saying “ You live by the price you die by the price” Good customers appreciate good service!

I spent 35 years in retail and have seen all kinds. That particular individual has not only missed the point of your recommedations, but I would think has spent way too much time going to high pressure or disreputable car dealers. Sometimes the best business is no business!!

"A" holes abound these days.. Not so long ago, youd get your "A...ss kicked! Now a days, with all the "Sensitivity" being pushed and the FACT that REAL Men and Women are persecuted has elevated the "A" Holes!

Another excellent video! I would say that individual is simply rude and doesn't respect anyone else. He was never taught to "play well with others".

Oooo! Good point! That is true!! Heck, that lowest price could come with some big extra fees, the prep fee, pdi fee, delivery fee, propane fee, battery fee, etc. I had one dealership with very low sales prices try to charge me a $3500 prep fee...by the time they were done with their fees that low price was higher than those 'guaranteed out the door price' other dealerships with that same model had. umm nope no thank you, I will look elsewhere.

High praise to be compared to Paul Harvey. Was just a young kid way back when I was exposed to him, just like Ken from Wisconsin stated, except it was noon at my grandparents dinner table. As I grew older I looked forward to his news and commentary every day. You are spot on in that people should disagree from time to time, but be respectful. I believe until things change society wise we are in for one hell of a ride and it doesn’t look like a fun one from my 71 yrs on this earth.

I sold motorcycles for a while. Personally, I would be leery of someone who would not tell me who they are.

No way would I do business with that person. Nothing good would come of it. Some say send him/her to Camping World. I wonder if he has already been there and is upset about the way he was piled on, hence his attitude? Not excusing it in any way.

Life is way to short to have to tolerate such treatment. We are taught in the Bible to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. I have no space for unpleasant people. Thanks for what you do !

I am very Grateful for You Tube content creators such as yourself Alan. I don't understand how someone thought this was the right forum to express their sickness of TDS. Keep rocking the virtual fireside chats

The best price is not always the lowest price. This reminds me of a house I sold. The buyer kept finding via inspections and general addendums to continue to lower the price. I caved in finally but then he had questions about a year later and I didn’t help him much. I was done with him. If he had been reasonable at the beginning I would have given him my time and bent over backwards to help him. Why do we think dealers are any different? I always negotiate and work for a good deal, but it’s always on a professional bases with my name that I stand behind. No name nothing to stand on

I'm sorry but for a 10 minute video you covered the actual issue for a minute or two at most. Next time just get to the point. After dealing with multiple sales people over the years for cars and motorcycles I'm with the potential customer. At the end of the day the only thing that matters is how much money is coming out of my pocket.
