Even my American brain melts every time someone calls Macarons Macaroons! They are not the same! A macaroon is a coconut and chocolate cookie!

For context!

Macarons are the delicate "Sandwich" cookies made from almond flour, has cream and a jam, ganache or buttercream center of the cookie.
Macaroons are the drop cookies that are made with shaved coconut.

I get people confusing the two, but next time you see one of these cookies, just remember this fact.

Also, I'll happily enjoy a bag of Tate's Bake Shop Chocolate Chip Cookies for around $6-7 than pay $160 for a box of specialty cookies. I mean, Tate's is a REALLY damn good cookie! Buttery, the perfect size and thinness, and made by a company in New York, who doesn't love that!?
