idk… 30/30 with 100 rbis and gold glove defense sounds pretty good to me

This video aged like warm milk. I love how Mets players like Lindor always get unnecessary hate while someone like Xander Bogaerts who actually has a disastrous contract for the Padres doesn’t even get talked about. Lindor is a 5-6 fWAR player every year and worth every penny he’s made as a Met.

"Underrated" is the most overrated word in existence.

watch lindor turn his season around and hit 40 homers while batting like .290 or something, after you called him out, man baseball is weird

Boy, has this post dated poorly. Lindor is hitting a ton and fielding like a dream.

Lindor is a legitimate MVP candidate. This video has aged horribly and I love it! LFGM

I think it’s pretty hard to say Lindor is underperforming to his contract, since (while massive) it is inflated by his position. When comparing Lindor to the other players in his 300m pay range that you listed (Judge, Harper, Betts, Machado), he does get dwarfed by most of them purely offensively, but he also provides the most value at the toughest defensive position in baseball. There’s no other SS on that list, and the other SS’s who got paid somewhat recently (Bogaerts, Correa, Seager) get paid in the same range. Personally, if I had to choose from those 4 SS’s to get my every day guy, I’m probably taking Lindor as he’s the most reliable health-wise and gives you elite defense with 30-30 potential every year.

SS is a tough market and the price tag will always be steep. Lindor will be a HOF player with 5 more good seasons, and I think that warrants him being paid with the elite SS in the game.

270./28/80 Gold glove defense. Most homers by shortstop in national league. Leadership in Mets clubhouse.

If he can put up 4+ more seasons at his rates he's probably a HOFer... and that's coming from a Braves fan. He's 30yr old and already has 40+WAR...

It's a Mets problem, not a Lindor problem. Look at Alonso and McNeil this season..

I'm a lifetime Mets fan, the whole team is suffering thus far this season...

He’s not overrated lindor has had a slow start but dude finished top ten in mvp voting last two years if that’s overrated than every player in baseball is to

Lindors Grand - slam against the Phillies in the playoffs told us all.

He’s always been a good player. He’s a typical .270-.280 30+ 90-100 RBI player. He’s been consistent with that minus one year.

Actually aged like spoiled milk... as a Mets fan, thank you

Lindor has a .303 batting average with 115 hits, 21 homers, 58 RBIs and 66 runs scored in 91 games since this video was posted 😂😂

“Good defender” - bro is a gold glove defender who is a above average hitter

As a die hard Mets fan, I love Lindor but he doesn’t hit like someone who’s making $300+ mil. Been saying that even in his great 2022-23 seasons. One of the best defenders in the sport and a good baserunner, but you gotta do more than a barely .800 OPS when you’re getting paid like he is. Really hoping he turns it around this year

hitting 30/30 and playing great defense every day is worth 30 million bro

he's a fantastic player. in fact he is on track for a HOF career. the disappointment comes from his juiced ball seasons and the expectation that he was going to be a 40+ HR hitter when he entered his prime.

Secret to let everyone in on: No single MLB player is worth a $300 million contract.
