Love the Stellar, We spent 5 nights in the Ozarks a few weeks ago and it worked out perfect, 2 pillows, 12v blanket, sheet, top sheet, sleeping bag and a rumple quilt all closed up inside the tent. We did change out the mattress to a self inflating one. We do not however put the ladder inside the tent since we have ample space in the bed of the Gladiator.

I received my Galaxy 2.0 yesterday and I am so happy with it so far.

TopOak for the win in my opinion, thanks for the comparison

the Top Oak Moon Roof alone is worth more than $260.00 extra. that is definitely a winner.

Great video, Matt. Always love the side by side comparison. I had the Stellar a few months ago, nothing to complain about, amazing tent in this price range. I love the kick out head room too, giving more space when I sit in the tent

Finally see a review of Stellar. Lots of information! I bought a topoak Stellar myself and seems like it's been upgraded for several times, some details are different with the old version in YouTube reviews. I'm happy with my choice at the moment, spent lots of nights in it.

Nice comparison. I just picked up a Trust Made Scout Max and only had a chance to use it 1 night. So far, I like it. Similar construction to the Top Oak. And similar problems with my 270 awning.

The Naturenest is awesome! I utilize it on all my travels. I can fit 2 full-size pillows, 0° sleeping bag, and my wool blanket inside the tent when it's closed. No issues. Holds up to harsh weather as well.

I have a 2” foam mattress topper and some other stuff in my galaxy 2.0 the key is putting them in the back half. The front has the ladder and the bar. But closes and seals just fine.

I have the Galaxy 1.0 myself. It’s definitely a great value tent, especially considering its price. It has become my loyal friend on many trips. The large side windows are the biggest difference in the Stellar, and I also love the thicker mattress on Stellar. Topoak always bring great products to the market

I’ve had a roam tent, currently have a tuff stuff alpha and also bought the nature nest orion tent. My wife and I love the nature nest most out of the more expensive ones. Just more comfortable. Love how the Orion windows can be opened up on all 4 sides. The diesel heater vent is built in. When the hurricane weather came through upstate SC, we just camped in the backyard for 2 weeks till the power came back on. Very comfy tent. Would recommend to anyone.

Thanks. I think the Topoak has the heater vent and anderson ports now. Helpful video as I wanted to check out alternate options to the Topoak, but keep getting convinced it's the best budget RTT.

Have you been able to take a gander at the new topoak clamshell RTT the Vision? Definitely would be cool to see your take on it for its $1500 price tag?

We have the Nature Nest we added a 2" matress on top of the standard mattesss which made the sleeping much better. The vent is a must we have a fan blowing out to help with the huge amount of condensation. No flap for the heater is a minus I'm 5.7 and we need more room . With no extra mattress I could close my bedding up inside but it was difficult. I like the compactness when closed. Would I buy it again, no. I have had many sleeps in this tent it is crowded with 2 adults.

Thanks for showing what it looks like lying down in there. I’m a little shorter than you so it gives me good perspective. I like the Intrepid you got but not convinced I need to invest that much in this overlanding hobby…yet. I spend most of my free time on 2 wheels currently but I’d certainly love to hit the flat tops sometime. Intrepid’s Black Friday deal may push me over the edge. 😁

I’m also considering an FSR wedge.

Thanks for the review, both look like solid tents but I ordered my Galaxy 2.0 knows these tariffs are gonna increase the price, its already up a 100$ since January!

Now about finishing my RTTT

mr. Anderson Power connection is an easy and inexpensive DIY add on.

Bottom line is having these budget options is great for the community. It certainly puts other companies on notice when they try to charge double the price for less features
