ZERO-WASTE HACKS (how I live sustainably - Part 9!) 🌍
👇
👇
👇
👖 I use only baking soda + white distilled vinegar to wash my clothes... And no, you won't smell like a chip-shop 😅!!
♻️ Both are refilled at my workplace in repurposed containers...
✨ Vinegar acts as a great natural "fabric-softener", and baking soda works perfectly at breaking down odours/dirt (may not work on tough/heavily-stained clothes, so this is just a baseline)!
👕 I also don't wash my clothes after just one wear (unless dirty/smelly), and I generally wash on a low or cold setting.
All of this is not only more sustainable, but also prolongs the life of your clothes as well!
🧽 I use the same vinegar to clean all surfaces in a spray bottle, with repurposed/reusable cloths made from an old towel! Make sure to check vinegar on your surfaces first or water down...
🧼 I only use plastic-free utensils to wash my dishes with refill washing-up liquid, and I make my own handwash from soap scraps ('how-to' reel coming v soon)!
The sponge is a naturally-compostable loofah, the brush is made of wood & has a changeable head with natural bristles and the coconut scrubber is great for tougher food-removal but is still safe on coated surfaces (always check first though)!
These were also all from my zero-waste shop 🙌
🌻 I have been doing all of this for over 3 years, and never experienced any problems or disadvantages 🙌
These hacks will also save you LOADS of money, prevent the use of toxic products and of course are better for the planet 👏👏
If you find this video helpful, please be sure to give it a thumbs up and let me know in the comments section if there's anything you'd like to know 🙏 I'd love to chat!
Also, head over to Instagram and check out my page for all things food and zero-waste living! 📸🌱
I hope you have a lovely day - take care 💚
