When I found an injured bird on the road (Full Video)

Cant imagine in what hellish pain and misery this bird was not only in body but in brain too, definetly the brain got damaged

The neighborhood kids actually brought me an injured baby bird they found a few months ago, and we got it to an animal refugee center and it made a full recovery!

The bird is an adult female house finch. It’s possible she may have flown into or gotten hit by a car. Defiantly showing signs of severe head trauma. And possible neurological issues. It was dying. And needed to be taken to a wildlife rehab. My guess is she flew into the car window.

The same thing just happened to me while walking my dog. I took my dog home grabbed Medical Gloves I had at home. Took the bird home put it in a box in a cage placed Wild Bird Seed down and used a plastic cover, the ones I use to lid up my Wet Dog Food cans filled it with water. Never use anything deep as they could drown. Cover the whole cage with a towel. Brain Injuries do better keeping the bird In a dark quiet place. I placed it on my deck. The next morning it had passed away 😢. I had verbal help from a Bird rehab

You are so kind for attending to this little guy but please never EVER touch a wild bird with your bare hands. Especially when showing signs of possible illness/injury. So sad, hope this lil guy made it 😢

Take the bird and put it in a box lined with old towels and some kind of heat source- rice socks work great. Warmth is important for birds. Keep it dim and just cover the top with another towel. It might take a while for the bird to recover from the strike. Food in the form of dry cat food that's been soaked or unshelled birdseed and a small dish of water if you end up keeping the bird a while. This is all if you lack a rehab that'll take the bird.

I once had a fledgeling house finch get into trouble and we weren't sure if it was going to make it. I kept it beside my lap all evening for the warmth, then got a rice sock in a lined box for overnight. I got woken up in the morning to flapping over my head as the baby went for my bedroom window! Eventually managed to get a hold of the little one and put it out where I knew the finch nest was.

Really late to say this, but it is a house sparrow(invasive) so any vet would want you to kill it, and it was a fledgling probably not knowing the danger of the outside world, the best thing to do is care for it yourself, not only do I have a flock sparrows that I feed, put up a birdbath for, and occasionally hand feed, I have learned that sparrows are really trusting and friendly, just like robins, I hope the sparrow is living a good long life.❤

When me and my family found an injured bird, we grabbed him, VERY GENTLY, MAKE SURE TO NOT HOLD ON, JUST WRAP YOUR FINGERS OVER. We turned a cardboard box on its side and put some dead grass as a copy of a nest, there was a water cap there filled of course, and the bird would just kinda sit there really. He stayed in the box in the shade and he stayed for one day, one night, (we put his box in the bathroom so he wouldn’t get cold) and then a little less than half a day. His vision was wonky, a lot of the times he flew he would crash, so I really hope he’s okay. I got attached to him, so it brings me sadness to see bird videos, especially when people are hurting them. I miss her, she was a whitebreasted nuthatch.

Actually this did happen to me i reset the bird wing and put a popsickle stick around its wing to keep it straight, but that bird it hit its head too and was having s seizure that was definitely a seizure.. poor bird it may have jolted its brain when it hurt its beak just help him feed him nurse him for a fee days and he will be right as rain

I saw this video and that’s the kind of bird I found but I. Tried my best to save it but it sadly died and I’m still crying about it
