Ok so The New Trailer for Avatar 2 The Way Of Water is out and throughout this video we're gonna be opening pandoras box to breakdown the whole thing. Filled with easter eggs, callbacks to the first movie and a lot of details that give away what the plot will be this is our definitive breakdown on the final main trailer before the movie releases next month.

Will this be the biggest movie of all time, will it usher in a new era of cinema, will there be 7.8 too much water? Well we'll get into it but please hit the thumbs up button if you enjoy the video and don't forget to subscribe for breakdowns like this every day.

Ok so we know that the film will take place over a decade after the first film. That was set during 2154 and it followed Jake Sully as he was brought in to try and gain acceptance by the Na'vi so that the RDA could farm for a special element called Unobtanium. Planet Earth is currently a barren wasteland at this time that looks like South Shields on a Saturday and because of the lack of natural resources we've had to journey out into the stars.

This is ultimately why the humans decide to return to Pandora because they've got nothing left.

Now the RDA are the Resources Development Administration and originally they set up a base known as hellsgate which we know will be part of this film. They have returned to this outpost and are now using their own avatars as a way to conqueror the planet.

The first movie ended with a fight in the floating mountains that we know will be returning to this film as well.

This was caused by a naturally occuring gravitational anomaly on the planet that was a good place to fight due to the atmosphere there messing with the humans radar.

However we'll be broadening our horizons so to speak and travelling to several aquatic locations so that the Na'vi can defend their home against old and new foes.

This place will be known as Metkiyeena and it too carries the gravity differences that the mountains do. Whereas the first film had mountain banshees we now see Sea ones that allow their rider to sit on top of them whilst they're submerged in water. These beasts have long snouts with sharp protruding teeth that makes them look like a cross between an Alligator and a Longnose Gar.

This movie, like its predecessor, looks visually fantastic! Which isn't much of a surprise, with how long it took the sequel to reach theatres, I would be disappointed if it was anything less. I am impressed with the turn around time from initial public announcement to theatrical release. Everyone involved in the movie did an amazing job, and I cannot wait to go see this movie in the theatre!

At 9:47, I don't think that's Jake crushing the skull. I think that's Quaritch in Avatar form crushing his dead human body's skull.

As a correction: Jake's son would be "part" human not fully 1/2 because, Jake's avatar was a combination of Na'vi and human DNA to make the avatar (although the movie didn't give the recipe of human to Na'vi DNA)

I'll never forget the feeling from watching the first avatar it was the first 3d movie I saw it still holds a special place in my heart all these years later. Thank you James Cameron I can wait for the new film💙.

Those 13 years were well worth it! Hopefully Cameron doesn't make us wait another 13 for the next sequel! There are a lot of story possibilities in this universe - I remember in the first they mentioned tribes of Na'vi have been detected all over Pandora in subarctic, mountainous, grassland, swampland regions. Cameron has mentioned they will be exploring other other moons of the gas giant, the planets orbiting Alpha Centauri B, etc.

Not sure if anyone else pieced the puzzle pieces together yet but throwback in the first film when The Sergeant says: “Marine in an Avatar body, that’s a potent mix.” Voila.

something you missed that is a hint to Kiri's human connection: she has 4 fingers, a trait only avatars and presumably an avatars offspring have as opposed to the Na'vi having 3 fingers.

I really appreciated that even though the trailer showed more footage it still managed to keep a lot of the plot details hidden, too many trailers nowadays are basically just two minute versions of the movie with them showing exactly how the movie will go instead of being mysterious.

It’s presumed Jake’s daughter Kiri is referring to Eywa. But I also believe she might also be referring to Grace. She feels Grace, she feels her heartbeat. It might be a reflection of her own heartbeat. Kiri might be Grace reincarnated. The Na’vi say that every person is born twice. The second is when you earn your place among the people. This is her second life, and Grace has earned her place among the people.

I think that, like the previous film, the appeal will be focused more on aesthetics than the actual story. This film has a water-themed aesthetic and craftier wildlife, suggesting that the VFX studios had a major challenge to complete compared to the first film.

I'm a professional underwater performer and I can only do 3 minutes and 30 seconds lol so well done Kate. I do wonder if she breathed pure oxygen beforehand, as that's one way people do the extra long holds.
