I think the cinematography, camera work, and set design in this was amazing and much better than anticipated. They filmed the transformers in a way that I’ve never seen on screen. For instance, in the beginning of the movie when we see Scourge emerging from the forest, that was actually a pretty terrifying way to introduce a villain. The imagery of that was really cool

The scene where Primal kills Airrazor really stuck to me. I've never seen a robot ape convey so much sorrow before. Dude, I was moved by a robot monkey. The animators did a really great job animating the robots' expressions

I really loved what they did with OP in this movie. I feel like too often people forget Prime's a soldier. I know there are times where Optimus is gentle and kind yes, but not on a BATTLEFIELD and not in a WAR. A war mind you, he's been fighting for, for millennia. I liked the perspective they took with him on this movie; outwardly showing his pain and his concerns and his doubts and his rage was refreshing. It's why I really liked Age of Extinction. It was refreshing to see a more emotional Optimus.

As someone who suffers from sickle cell it warms my heart that they tried to get recognition for it in the movie. Even though its not completely right, its a step forward for this painful life threatening illness to be mainstream so we can have more treatments. I just wonder why they went with the whole effects the hands deal when it effects the whole body

I just found it hard to believe that a giant robot gorilla that has to weigh like 4 tons at least is swinging from trees and branches like a normal gorilla… how strong are trees in Peru??

If they kept the intro where we see Optimus Prime just casually walking on top of dead decepticon corpses and parts would have been a chilling intro

The GI Joe bit still has freaked out, I just can’t imagine that any of those characters are a threat to a giant robot

That surprise was indeed WHOOOA. I saw the fan screening and we went CRAZZZZY. Soundtrack was indeed dope, especially for someone like me who loves hip-op and the golden age of NY HH. They kinda flubbed with having Waterfalls (95) and Hypnotize (97) since it's a 94 movie...but those are minor nitpicks in an otherwise solid TF movie.

I thought the reason for Bee’s return was perfectly set up. Energon exists on Earth, like in the G1 and in Beast Wars, but this stuff is inert until Scourge activates the Transwarp Key, which activates the Energon, which brings back Bee.

No Deus ex Machinas here. Just regular machinas. 😂

7.8/10 for me. Maybe it’s because my expectations for transformers films are low but damn this movie was GOOD, shallow plot, shallow depth to the characters but the characters are actually enjoyable, the action is fun, like it’s IP cartoon turn live adaptation franchise, it’s FUN. Happy watch tbh

A really ballsy transformers movie would if they went straight avatar with it and have it take place on cybertron and have actors do mo-cap take how ever long you need to make the movie

I think the dump truck might be partially an illusion. There’s no way mirage is big enough to become the entire truck, but maybe the back part (aside from like the chassis and wheels) is all an illusion.

This was definitely my favorite Transformers movie purely because of soundtrack and comedy 🤣

Agreed that this is the second best Transformers film — if we’re counting Bumblebee. And the soundtrack is awesome! Took me back! And look, I won’t lie: This movie had me loudly representing Brooklyn a few times! 🤣🤣 Homegirl said she was from East New York! 🙌🏾 And Pete Davidson was pretty good too. Nah, I had fun with this one tho.
