After showing you our selection of the ten best CS 1.6 frags from the past year, we now present you our Top 10 Counter Strike: Global Offensive highlights of 2012, featuring special color commentary by WarOwl.

As the calendars changed to 2013, we at HLTV.org set out to recap some of the best moments of the previous year, starting with Top 10 highlights from the now almost extinct Counter Strike 1.6. Next up in our series of recaps are the best individual actions from that game's successor, CS:GO.

In this countdown we see some old names, such as Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas who has two actions featured, as well as Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund and the player whose highlight marked year 2010, Ioann "Edward" Sukhariev. But we also see some new stars and players who came from the CS:Source scene, mainly Adil "ScreaM" Benrlitom who never stopped impressing since he stepped onto the big stage.

A lot of good frags which were available only in POV demos were lost. These demos just don't work after all these updates. This Top 10 movie was made from all the GOTV demos available. It could have been more awesome with all those 'lost' frags!

He had Deagle only, the enemies had machine guns, he got 4 people with 4 bullets, with an incredible reaction time and aim, and the enemies are pretty damn good players

So yeah, it might not seem like a big deal, but it was pretty damn nice

goesea should take note of how to edit videos from this.. It's perfect. Nice editing inbetween clips, good way of handling the 'downtime' between kills, but no crazy stuff that ruins the flow of the clip

I really don't get why so many downvoted this comment. No1 cares if you still play 1.6 or source, but you have to admit that they lose more and more audience every day. They are not dead but they will die. Csgo is the future and it's becoming a great game from patch to patch. I believe that it can become the best Cs, by far.

I don't think deagle should be the only non-default pistol that's viable, though it should definitely still get a buff along with the P2K.

I really miss CS 1.6, those action can Wow me everytime I see it. It's the original and the character walk like human, but CS : GO character walk like human that are skating. Those action can't even wow me anymore. Did not give me the same feelings anymore. :( Pls go back CS 1.6.

yeah, the deagle (in fact all pistols) was perfectly balanced back then; not over powered at all like it was in source (i thought the p250 was better and more versatile), but with the correct application of skill it can be devastating. Illustrated by ScreaM's ridiculous play. i don't know about anyone else but i think thats exactly how a gun should be!
