Install .NET Framework 3.5 in Windows 11

PowerShell command to execute:

In above command, replace c:\temp\sxs with the actual location of sxs folder on your system, in case if it is at different location.

When I paste the SXS folder from the mounted vitrual drive to the c:\windows\temp,
I get an error Invalid MS-DOS function.

I started having dotnet 3.5 errors on windows 11 on some games when my speakers were acting up, same when I unplugged them, I plugged in a new set of speakers, no more error, it has to do withe the way some programs worked with the sound

I had this exact issue on a brand new Dell Latitude laptop. I found that this method still didn't work until after I uninstalled all the Dell support components that were installed by default. Once I removed them the standard method still failed so I tried the DSIM method from a fresh download of Windows 11 ISO and it worked.
