Activist and producer of the "Can I Get A Witness" conference Joey Brite discusses how she initially pursued testosterone but was dissuaded by a strong and caring therapist. Joey explores the impact the trans movement has had on lesbian communities and grieves the loss of butch lesbians who are increasingly being convinced that, because they are gender non-conforming, they should engage in experimental transgender affirming treatments resulting in lesbian eugenics.
Part 2 of a 2 part series.

Can I Get A Witness was strikingly a woman's conference and exciting as bringing a whole array of women together--true intellectual diversity within this unified coalition, beautifully represented in your conference. Joey's hosting was not only masterful and welcoming but cohesive!

I think one of the reasons I appreciate your videos in the morning is that it helps get that sleeping brain fired up and back online. A little intellectual kickstart to my day and somehow magically I find myself a little more focused throughout the day. (Lol and I'm sticking with that story)

Great interview! One of the side effects of this era was that my history wss revised...i was/am a tomboy, but can present high femme at times..my tomboy side was totally erased and forgotten when my FTM friends transitioned...all of a sudden i was seen (past and present) as an ectreme femme. I am "sir-ed" on a weekly basis.
I do not care if I read as a femme by FTMs, but it felt like I was being put down for it (like old fashion men who would now be in their 90s would do in my youth). I felt like Rodney Dangerfield - get no respect- attempting to correct it....oh well....

My comment didnt post...if it does show up, i apologize for a duplicate.
I was/am a tomboy who can, if I feel like it present as a high femme.
When my FTM friends transitioned they revised my history and claimed I was "just" a femme.
I guess it made them feel more masculine, ...it was very frustrating to have my past ignored.
I mean, I get "sir'd" on a weekly, sometimes daily basis while out in public. It felt very sexist to me to be seen and historically revised.
Yes..it is mysogyny . It is very difficult.
