I have a very low spice tolerance. Today that is about to change as they made me the spiciest steak that has ever excited. We are talking about a 10 Million Scoville steak. This is as spicy as it gets and if I am being honest I am truly honest I am ready to take on this challenge.

i can say with confidence, leo and angel should be allowed to run their own episodes at least once a month as a nice lil contrast and to see what types of food dishes/experiments they wanna try doing

I really liked Angel and Leo's energy. If you want to take breaks Guge, don't hesitate to let them do more videos!

4:21
Angel: *gagging after smelling sauce*
Leo: It's not that bad... *smells and immediately regrets decision*

4:37
Leo: *suffering after tasting sauce*
Angel: It cannot be that bad.... *tastes and also immediately regrets decision*

This back-to-back dynamic is so hilarious

Us regular viewers often comment about how much better we’ve gotten at cooking steaks thanks to Guga’s videos, but it’s also impressive to see how much better Angel and Leo have gotten from where they started. They’re regular viewers, clearly! Also, shout-out to Angel for his pronunciation of Worcestershire Sauce.

Scoville units are measured per volume, so they're not additive. In other words, throwing all those peppers of differing SHUs (Scoville Heat Units) into the food processor doesn't create a mixture where all the SHUs are added together. Instead, it creates a solution where the hottest pepper's SHU (in this case, the carolina reaper) is diluted in the solution with each less hot pepper added to it. So, you take the average of the SHUs, not the total. The marinade y'all made in the food processor was closer to 823, 500 Scovilles. Still hot as hell, but not anywhere close to 10, 750, 500.

Only the hottest pepper's capsaicin level counts towards the mixture's Scoville level. Ergo, this was not 10mio Scoville but between 1.5-2.5 mio due to the Reaper

Normally when other ppl take the lead in a video rather than the regular, it often goes abit crappy but laughed off as abit of fun, but Angel and Leo just nailed this one.

As soon as Angel said, “you’re gonna be happy, I promise.” Guga knew what he was in for😂😂😂🤣🤣

Can I just say, I love the height difference there between those two! I swear, Guga may be the face of the channel, but these guys do so much for the channel!

You can't just add scoville up like that, that's not how it works ;) – The dilution factor would stay the same, as you still increase the mass. In order to increase the scoville rating, you need to extract the capscacine from the peppers.

I am SENT just by the fact these two understand that high spiciness doesn't necessarily equate to high flavor. A lot of super spicy foods only worry about the heat, and end up tasteless as a result. But they managed to put together recipes that actually have a ton of flavor and still work with the heat, which is what spicy food should always amount to.

I like the laid back chill vibes from Leo while Angel is looking like he's constantly holding some energy back lol

Several things:

1. The Scoville Rating for the Carolina Reaper (2.2 million) is just 1 pepper, and has not been replicated officially since. (the Average is ~1.67 million, which is still absurd)

2. Speaking of scoville raiting, you cannot combine the scoville raiting for all the peppers contained in the dish and have it be accurate. You quickly gain spice tolerance, so in effect, only the hottest pepper can count in your dish.

2. Best things to cure spice are Dairy (I saw milk, but Yogurt is better) and citrus. The citric acid helps neutralize the oils of the capcaisin.

Although they say its 10m scovilles, things like chemical concentrations (which is what the scoville is measuring essentially) do not stack additively. Adding a jalapeno to a scorpion only serves to dilute and weaken the overall sauce (though it will add some much needed flavor). Same with just about anything else. The true scoville of that final sauce is probably closer to 1 million, maybe less.

I love that mid freak out there's a moment of calm where Guga has to stop and say "it does taste pretty good" then continues to freak out from the heat

Capsaicin, which is the chemical compound that contains fiery heat, is actually concentrated in the inner white pith or rib of the chile pepper. While the seeds may be coated with some of the capsaicin since they're in contact with the rib, they themselves don't actually contain any heat.

I’ve always loved gugas channel purely for the content he creates and i love whole heartedly how he’s allowed his family and co workers to have there own platform through him, because without them his whole platform would be totally different, having these real honest opinions on whatever he puts in front of them makes this channel what it is, big love from the UK x

Glad to see the boys doing something fun. Guga is busy making videos with Albert and Chef Rush, diversifying the entertainment. 😂
