The magic of Professor Wolters teaching is statements like " You're much more tasty then a chicken sandwich" His words have a gentle way of touching your soul that you can't help but to absorb his message as soon as you tune into his frequency.

Correction, we locals never actually put away our winter coats. They live in our cars lol!

Growing up in Laramie, we watched a 4th of July fireworks in a snowstorm. Mirror Lake and Vedauwoo were our playgrounds.

As a Wyomite, my favorite pastime is watching the bison stomp

Wyoming native, Pinedale resident here.
For the love of God, dont get off the plane in Jackson and hit up the first western wear store and buy a cowboy hat / duds.
NOTHING screams "stupid tourist" more than that. Go with Carharrt gear and you'll fit right in.
Dont drive like a clown on 80 in winter. Please stay tuned to weather forecasts, and if you're a trucker, invest in a CB. We have EPIC wrecks on 80 during winter, all avoidable, all caused by non-natives. Most
If you're from California, we DO NOT CARE how you do anything back there, or that we should do things like that.
That state is a festering dookie hole, we are NOT.
Thank you...

Casper, Wyoming here! Dude you nailed it. I’m so happy and proud of this video!!! Keep up the great work!!! Another golden jem to see and do in Wyoming, is Alcova Lake. It’s 30 miles west of Casper! Great fishing, camping, and some pretty nice sandy beaches to relax and have fun. If you have a boat, even better.

I learned from personal experience how valuable this gentleman's advice is. When I was a five year old boy in 1953 my Dad took Mom, my grandparents and I on a trip to Wyoming. We couldn't find a vacant motel room in or near Dubois and ended up sleeping in our car parked on the other side of the street from the local police station. Men in cowboy hats entered and departed from the station every so often all night long. I vividly remember waking up at dawn with the sky blazing fiery red. On a later trip I took in 1978 I left my motel in Rawlins low on gas and headed north, thinking there'd be a filling station just north of town. I drove and drove ... and drove ... until my car was running on vapor. To my great relief I finally found gas in a place called Muddy Gap. I swore I'd never do THAT again!

The comments on this video from people in Wyoming are a better indicator of what they truly think of tourists and anyone from out of state.

To the incredible folk of Wyoming, what an amazing place. My family and I visited Laramie and beauty spots around. We come from the Countryside in what we call "The West country" in the United Kingdom. We very much enjoyed our visit to your beautiful country, Thank You all for your hospitality, Regards the Hamilton Family.

Thank you for doing a See America First® campaign, starting with this wonderful series on my home state and town (Cheyenne). We moved here in 2011 from Portland Oregon and have not regretted it for a minute. Nice to see things that I routinely walk to on your show. I would like to bump into some of your viewers.

Don’t #1 of Wyoming: Don’t move here, the states full. Go to Colorado.

Montanan here... Great vid... Jackson Hole blew me away. Regarding the weather, as you mentioned it really is extreme. Montana and Wyoming hold almost all of the *world* records for largest and quickest temperature changes. Yellowstone can see snow in July and August -- it'll usually happen once or twice a summer, so it's not even abnormal or rare.

The first statement is the most relevant since, as with most Westerners, the folks in Wyoming are independent and don’t like someone who has been around for 30 seconds telling us what to do. As they saying goes, when in Rome, do as the Romans do. The parts about the weather being changeable and the wind being dangerous is spot on. A few years ago I was hauling a stock trailer carrying horse from Casper back to New Mexico and while it was only breezy in Casper, by the time I was 20 miles north of Wheatland it was blowing 45 miles per hour and gusting to 60. The highway patrol diverted high profile traffic off the highway and I spend four hours in Wheatland waiting to get back on the highway. The folks in Wyoming are awesome and I've always been made to feel like I'm part of big family when I visit my friends in Wyoming.

Wyoming is likely my favorite state. First time I drove over togwatee pass and saw the tetons I cried a little. So beautiful. A 50 something man who had wanted to climb grand teton almost 40 years and finally saw it, too late for climbing.

Last time I was in Yellowstone it snowed. On July 4th.

Bison and elk should never be fed to tourists. They will not be able to go back to beef when they get home.

A few years ago there was a proposal to add cell towers in Yellowstone. Made me sick. Turn off the phone and enjoy the massive beauty.

Airports out west don't have wind socks. They have wind chains. You get used to hooking your foot under the car door when you open it to keep the wind from breaking it off the hinges.

You covered a lot of ground in this one, this is useful info for any tourist and I hope you had a great time here. These animals are not zoo animals, I cannot say it enough. Today was bright and sunny and 80, tomorrow will be snowy and cold and windy. Even the locals that try to tell other locals what to do will get a cold shoulder here but when we need help in agricultural communities, we put our differences aside to help each other wether we like each other or not and that's something to be said. You might think people here may be unintelligent or stubborn but you have to understand the culture and not many can wrap they're head around it. I guess we just put up with each other but also understand each other's background, that's the best way I can describe it. We're a community that would rather take care of each other than have the govmt get involved. Yep were pretty independent, take care.

I'll always remember when I went from Yellowstone to Badlands, and my GPS said to go way out of the way. But I noticed there was a road that goes straight between them, so I thought my GPS was confused and did that instead. Yeah, instead of driving 4 hours on the highway I spent the next 10 hours zig-zagging up and down mountains at 20mph...

Mr. Wolters, thanks for the great video! My husband and I were looking for a great Wyoming travel video, and we found myriads of short "commercials" and a PBS show and a STUPID reality show. We were about to give up. Your travel vids are better advertisement for Wyoming than most of the "official" Wyoming videos. Also thanks for keeping lots of humor and scenic footage with the smart warnings and travel tips. We really appreciate you and your family!
