It was Charlie Haas and Shelton was shocked. Shelton started to mock RVD but he managed to miss his jump and then got rolled up by Hass to lose the match. Then Shelton told Vince he must do something about his title because he saw a divine light that led him to a figure that looked like him. Then Vince told him he will do something about it, because he likes people on their knees before him. Then Shelton realized what he said. Then RVD came out against a mystery opponent, if he loses, he must also put his briefcase on the line. And it was Spirit Squad, in a five on one handicap match. Which was easily won by Spirit Squad. They met at Backlash in a winner takes all match. RVD hit him with a frog splash and pinned him to also hold the title.

I remember that RVD Vs Shelton match that was a banger but thanks for showing the build up i didn’t actually know the backstory i had only seen the match it was on the history of the IC title dvd i used to have and it’s packed away somewhere. Now I’ll watch matches on the Tube but used to have over 50-60+ dvds.

Of course the matches are great material to have yet also the documentary style things and interviews on the dvds.
