RL is severely underrated. Especially the professional play.

It’s unreal to have so much skill to be a professional in rocket league. Respect earned for ninja.

I think given the size of its community and how many random people you come across who are insane but nowhere near pro ranks, it has to be Counter-Strike

SOOOO much respect for throwing RL in there. People really don't realize the sheer skill it takes to be EVEN decent at the game. As someone whos played on a small team for a while there is so much you need to do to actually progress in Rocket League.

The skill celling for rocket league is just truly insane

respect for rl, much smaller pro scene than some of these games but the quintessential skill based game

Shoutout rocket league games skill ceiling is absolutely unbelievable and the closer we get to seeing it the more beautiful it becomes. Poetry in motion.

The sheer amount of tech you need to get good at rl is insane

I know these games get overlooked a lot but fighting games are so competitive. Imo Tekken pros are some of the most skillful gamers out there

Glad he mentioned RL, they say literally the highest rank is just about halfway to becoming pro... thats insane!
Edit:

I know the highest rank in most games isn't anywhere close to pro. I should have said instead that top 100 is halfway to pro in rl, at least according to rl pros.

I feel like fighting games could also be up for debate but the scenes are a lot smaller

Ninja throwing in RL has made my respect for him go way up. Only people who have actually played RL understand how hard it is. From an outside perspective of someone who hasn’t played they just think “oh car soccer how hard could it be just score the ball” I’ve heard that so many times

Fighting games deserve a mention. Theres no other genre where to be a top level player you have to consistently travel out to events (A lot of the time on your own dime), then prove yourself by getting past possibly thousands of other entrants in open bracket tournaments. (Aside from the occasional invitational.)

RL is extremely difficult man. I’ve been playing since 2015 and each game is harder and harder

As an Ex-MLG Competitor in 2006 for Halo 2 who has placed Top 16, I can confirm YES you can get a squad and get it done BUT also it's not that easy once you're up there it can get tedious and you get shakey on occasions not to mention having to remember all vantage points and spawns especially facing off against one of the higher teams such as Str8 Rippin, Final Boss, etc.

StarCraft 2, imo, is by far the hardest. Games can be like 40 min of nonstop 300 apm. You have to play solo which challenges the mental. The skill gap is massive. Pro tournaments are consistently won the same group of people.

Any sim racing game is being like being kicked in the nuts and having to deal with it.
