Star Citizen Patch 3.17 Refueling Guide

Welcome back everyone. As we get closer to 3.17 releasing to live I wanted to bring a guide to you on one of the newest features coming. Refueling. Now with the Starfarer having a purpose the act of refueling will only become more needed with fuel balance passes being done as well as the introduction of Pyro just down the road. I have two reasons to own a Starfarer. I want to be the fuel provider for my org on extended exploration or other deep space operations. The second one is to have another income stream. However, I really want my Crucible for this plus ship repair.

Great video! But a question too: when I tried my first refueling op, the boom exploded the moment the receiving ship attached to it, and we were unable to get it detached from them… in the end, the customer Eva’d over to me and I gave him a lift back to a station; still trying to figure out what went wrong and why. Any thoughts?

I have an SFG but in all honesty, I have only flown it a handful of times. I think when Pyro drops I will try to be your friendly neighborhood gas station where I don't ask questions and all money is accepted.

I won't be going to any location that is requested for refueling without a fighter escort. The global chat doesn't have any way of telling you the requested is truly in need of fuel. It could be a ambush or other sorts of fowl play. I'm glad that my Gemini will give me a little more protection if needed.

I don’t know if I just have good friends. Or just no one has thought about it. All of my friends are using my starfarer exclusively to refuel. I meet them at OM-1 at the moon/planet theyre at. I’ve profited 2 mil from buying below market value at L stations and selling 20% above the nearest planet station.

its nice to see The Starfarer's role being realized in the verse, but with the way Stanton is, the need for a Starfarer is limited to more intentional gameplay in Star Citizens current state

How much does one pod refuel in terms of ships (for hydrogen or quantum)? For instance, How many pods to fill an empty 890J

Can a starfarer use its own pods to refuel itself?

Can you unequip and fly without pods?
