"i'd say it sits somewhere between the titan and the cutlass", agreed. In almost every respect, CIG have done a great job at balancing it to sit smack bang between the two

also, by whatever gods there may be what is that jumper! ~RobotSpartan~

Goodness, the start of the sale was terrible! You guys did well getting onto the site. All I got was error messages.

If CIG are so sure about their game, they should give all ships purchased, before the games release, LTI. Once it goes into a beta stage or is just nearing completion close the online store. After all, these are pledges, not “purchases” in the normal sense. So, I believe, LTI should be given as a reward to anyone willing to pledge to this project before it is completed.

Thanks for taking the time and effort to do this lads. Love you two together chewing the fat. Go get some well earned rest and looking forward to the upcoming videos.

I have to say that I kinda like the Nomad. From some angles it looks good. Others, I think it'll grow on me. Looks like a mashup of a Pisces, Mustang, Talon, and the Republic walker tanks from Clone Wars for the canopy.

I really like the flight deck setup too. The wrap around MFD panel looks great IMO. I'll never spend real money on it though.

The Nomad seems to be really a competition for the Hull A or something I feel like.

the nomad is cool but i wont be picking one up as i already have better ships(i will just rent/buy it in game when its available) . the only ship today that looks interesting is the pioneer and that is a bit out of price range for me at the moment. looking forward to the review/buyers guide of the nomad. nice vid

Good work guys, considering the 3am crap shoot "again" on the web site. People of Australia are just getting screwed on the limited ship sales.

For me the warbond Nomad CCU is a good way to start the sale, either to start of a CCU chain (we had a good one during the invictus event) or just to get a small discount if one got their eye on a specific ship in the next few days, and ofc add lifetime insurance too.
So I got one of those CCU tokens for my starter pack/titan to start off the event with

They have lti on warbond ccu's to nomads which is awesome. Wish they made a bigger deal out of it like they did the mantas trade up promotion. Going to hold off on applying it because I have enough spare credit from old abandoned cig ships going into buyback that I'll just buy one with credit and wait to see how the titan gets nerfed or boosted in the future.

got two warbond nomad ccus saving me 20 € good strategy from a former inforunners vid.

So, I looked up the Nomad. It's 80$ without Warbond, has 24 SCU and 3x S2 Gimballed Weapons (or 3x S3 Fixed, but that would be stupid). All components are small and it has 1 powerplant but 3 shield generators.

The Hull B at 90$ uses medium components, has a remote Turret with 2x S2 and is listed with 384 SCU (expect it to go down, but still around 200+).

For 100/110$, you can get a Cutlass Black or Freelancer Base which outclass the Nomad in every aspect by far.
For 150$ you can get the Constellation Taurus, which is a physically big ship, carries significant firepower and would make a great multicrew ship if you play with friends.

However, unless you have a LTI Ship to upgrade from (i.E. Nomad LTI Package) and actually desire LTI, I would not recommend going beyond a starter package anymore.

I have a BMM and some leftovers possibly turning into a 2nd one or a ship of similar size/value and I didn't invest much relative to other Backers (BMM with Gamepackage cost me about 200$ and I'm from a country where I'd normally pay 19% VAT), but once progress is allowed, I'll still be in a situation where I don't "need" to earn anything and can help out others.

A lot of Backers have entire fleets already with frankly, no use for some of it for months into the game besides lending them to others.

So while indeed I expect it to be true that you can earn smaller ships rapidly by using large industry ships, I don't believe newer backers will "need" to purchase such ships themselfes.

Even more so when it comes to orgs, I'd expect any decent org (which doesn't revolve around building a Fleet on the glorious Leader's account while donating for the Website and so on) to get new players into profession starters or medium ships (think of current 100-200$ range) within days.
It's not even about being generous, even from a purely egoistic view, I'd rather have someone in a Freelancer escorting me (while hauling himself) than a Aurora running out of fuel all the time.

If you did not know, the list of warbond ccu coming up are
Warden
Hawk
Mercury
Freelancer_MAX
Corsair
BMM
600i_Tour
Polaris

make a video about that would help people save a lot of money if they are chaining up to more expensive ships

Longtime watcher, please take this as constructive criticism: Execute, you audio levels across many of your videos are low, perhaps when you set them you're closer to the mic then when you go live. When you speak louder it is almost ok, but often you're speech get's softer as the video progresses. There have been a couple times where the video was unwatchable because I had turned up the volume and either Algared (or guest ex. Mr. Penguin) was too loud, or ambient noise on my side overpowered you're audio.

If you're having trouble with peaking by turning up your source volume, I would recommend either locating a mic closer (or turning up gain if you're setup allows) or if you don't want a mic in frame, then a small shotgun mic, or a mic on boom arm above/below frame.

All said with love, thanks for the informative content!
