It’s been a long time since I’ve sat down to watch the movie. Last time I did so I was 17. The movie maybe cheesy in pieces. But I respect it as someone who was a teen when penguins were really beginning to be seen on the silver screen. I’ll be 30 next week. I sometimes feel tempted but just have a fear of not looking at it from the same semi innocent lens. Martin Short looked so young in this video recording as Hubie. I was more drawn to the buddy comedy elements. But surviving boyhood has left me a sucker for a good love story. If Pebble were to ever be remade in live action or on Broadway, I would like to see some adjustments to the story and bigger emphasis on Hubie and Marina’s romance. But still carry the message and spirit of the original. Nothing too hip though!

Those are the best actors of their time. The future has not been kind to Tim Curry as he has problems with the left side of his mouth hanging downwards from a stroke. I felt sorry for the poor guy who can do great evil villains on set, and he's still the kindist man in real life.
