Wonderful, I'd forgotten how to do a half Windsor. I prefer cut away collars on a shirt and the half Windsor looks much better. More classic and stylish.

Found it interesting that you went the other way with it after making that initial loop over the top. That is actually considered the correct way to do it. The downside is that when undoing the tie at the end of the day, the knot doesn’t unfurl itself. You’re left with an actual knot you have to manually untie. For the most part I prefer doing it the “wrong” way, which is the more common way.
