This actually helped me out a lot. I am currently working on a parts list for my christmas PC build. I am excited because it will be the first PC I have ever built. The 1000$ option seems perfect for me. The rx3700 xt is just a beast for it's price and compared to the 3060, 3060ti, and even 3070 it's always the best option (to my mind ofc). Thank you, that really saved me 200 bucks at the very least!

Pretty interesting take on those price points ! Definitely better price to performance to others "builds" I have seen.

I think in the $750 - 800 range a Ryzen 5600x has a bit better value since its overclockable and turbos a bit higher than the 12400f, and can generally be found for less.

For the first build I think I would drop the rgb cooler and use the stock one and change the ram to the silicon power one (The blue kit) and use the 20$ to get a better mobo for upgrade potential . I think it could be fine being a basic black and blue build. The 750$ seems pretty good to me some people may choose the 5600 and that is fine aswell both options are valid.

For the last build I would have picked the Silicon Power P34A80 ( dram + tlc ) instead of the p3 (Qlc and no dram) Those are my thoughts after watching the video calmly.

These videos are pretty fun! Hope you keep making these!

Love the build guide, it is so much better than quite a few I have seen recently!

I saw this youtuber, idk who he was, but he was putting a 3050 in a $1200 build. he spent half the budget making it look pretty for the thumbnail. Your channel is a very nice reality check, I appreciate it. A very nice balance of performance and looking clean in the process.

Your parts are good, but there are certain things i would do differently
1. ASRock B660M Pro RS is a very low tier level of motherboard, and it's not recommended to pair it with anything higher than 12100, even 12400, let alone 12600k. I would jump up at least to Msi B660M-A Pro
2. 12600k is way overkill for 6700 XT. It's a 5800X(even better) level of CPU, and unless you're doing any productivity work, 12400 will be plenty, up to 3070 Ti or smth
3. By going with 5600, you could save money both on the platfrom cost and CPU pricing itself. 5600 is usually going between 120 and 140 dollars, and its motherboard selection is pretty wide, so it's very viable
All these changes would allow us to go for a better graphics card, for example 6700 XT on 750 dollar build. It's not at all a disdain to your parts, though! Your video was very informative to newbies and all the people who are interested in building their own rig, so thanks for that.

The $750 build is exactly what im running. I got my Gigabyte rx 6650 xt refubished for like $240 and put in with my i 5 12400f. I got 32 gb of sp 3200 cl16 memory. Its running great. My motherboard is a Asrock b660 Steal legend. Running Fortnite at 114 fps at 1440p. Highest settings. Awesome graphics.

I would drop down to a 12400f on the $1000 to save for a nicer case and overall aesthetics

It’s just to see that everyone can get back into building a great pc for an awesome price 🥰💪✊👍

This was a great reference. Given that i was able to put into account price fluctuation for my build. I was able to build a PC that has Ryzen 7 5700G as the CPU with a 3rd party aircooler from deepcool. Over all i was able to keep it under $700 and since my CPU is an APU, i can wait wait out for GPU prices to drop even more and possibly upgrade to a R7 5700x along with the 3070 i'm planning to put as the dedicated GPU

For the 1000$ the silicon a60 one tb is a insane option for cheaper than the original ssd

For the 1000$ build I don’t see much point in getting a k cpu with a cheaper B motherboard, I feel like maybe getting a Ryzen 7 or sticking with the 12400 to get a better gpu would of been better for performance, but I understand aesthetics are also important

RX 6400 in my office PC, RX 6500xt in my gaming PC... (because screw the haters) LOVE them both...I don't plan to stream so I'm good to go---the driver updates have helped a LOT ...
