Hezly Rivera was born in Hackensack, New Jersey on June 4, 2008 to Henry Rivera and Heidy Ruiz (both from the Dominican Republic), and raised in nearby Oradell. She currentlly resides in Plano, Texas where she trains. She'll graduate from high school on the class of 2026. Hezly was a member of the silver medal-winning team at the 2023 Junior World Championships. Additionally she is the 2023 Junior World silver medalist on floor exercise. She was named to the team that will represent the United States at the 2024 Summer Olympics, making her, at the age of 16, the youngest athlete in the U.S. delegation

Getting a Tasha Schwikert vibe here…in the sense that Schwikert wasn’t expected to make the line-up in 2000…and then she suddenly did, due to a teammate’s injury…and she ended up calmly competing her sets like she was a veteran. Rivera seems to be channeling Schwikert!
