What happened to The Small Faces STEVE MARRIOTT

During London's Swinging Sixties, Steve Marriott, the original blue-eyed souls singer, went from child star to mod-icon. By the 1970's, he was broke and struggling, despite having one of the best voices in rock and roll.

Here's a little seen wee film charting his meteoric rise and tragic fall. Although he was primarily a singer & guitarist, he did potter about on the Hammond (don't we all!) and is seen playing one near the end of the film.

The Small Faces did of course feature Hammond played by the equally missed mighty Ian McLagen who I was honoured to meet. I was also privileged to meet and even play with Steve on a few occasions, on every one of which he was happy to share his knowledge and stories with me. Enjoy!
