Great video, your English is really good for a czech guy. What i noticed is that with autopilot if you have a destination set, it also slows down a bit for upcoming turns. Tested around Pilsen region.

Really correct summary, had mostly the same experience in Hungary with the car on city roads, mostly when lines are not that visible or even missing. You have to be more alert when autopilot is on :), waiting for fsd :). Self parking on the other hand works like a charm!

it is very bad in Norway, my old Kia lane following and adaptative cruise control was much useful, autopilot just phantom brakes every time there is a truck in the other lane, and slows down for anything. I wish they added some simplified mode before FSD arrives

Your videos are very good! Exactly to the point on the differences between Std Autopilot and FSD. I also agree on your point that Autopilot software should become based on FSD like a mini/lite version. Looks like FSD is coming to the Netherlands first, very soon. If you ever want to make a video here and need a HW3 car for video purposes, you’re welcome to use my model 3.

I use Autopilotin my Model 3 Highland for most drives and as you say take over the steering, but still leaving the adaptive cruise control so have the benefit of not having to brake or accelerate in traffic. Also if navigating the corner assist will slow you down ready for a turn of the main road for instance.
I have also found the recent update has allowed less severe "nag"s and has been happy for me to rest me hand on the wheel.

Curvature assist has been a fantastic update and now enables the Tesla to slow down and traverse many more corners.

In Europe Tesla are unfortunately tied down by so many rules and laws that will not allow the use of FSD features even if supervised.


Love your videos and it helps me to confirm that I am not missing something.

totally agree AP made for straight long stretches of road not with islands and bends! I used when first got highland but cant be bothered only if on motorway in UK. other than that I prefer to simply drive my car as too many

Adding FSD as a standard free feature would be awesome except for the fact Tesla has invested $billions into its development. You cannot simply dream something up and have it become a reality overnight. Perhaps someday it will mandatory but until that time, expect to contribute to the development cost.
I placed my bet in 2018 and have used FSD since V10. Today my investment has paid off, the car drives me everywhere.

10:39 Steering Nag - in our country, hands free driving is illegal. So Tesla ADAS still insist on the driver holding the steering all the time.

Autopilot is meant for roads and highways and it would improve by 1000% if you didn't have to disengage and re-engage when switching lanes

In the start of the video you say AP is the only system available, but we also have EAP over here. I have EAP on my Model 3 which works great.
