I am waiting for the next generation. They will be like EVs in that they use motors totally to drive the car and a super efficient engine that is used to recharge the batteries. Nissan has a 50% efficient engine under development. The Catch--it is optimized to run at a certain speed and load. This allows it to be optimized.
