Heavy Flooding Closes Yellowstone Park

It's a bucket-list destination for many. But right now, no one can visit Yellowstone park because all entrances are blocked due to severe flooding. The rainfall destroyed a bridge and washed away roads, leaving some tourists trapped 'inside' the park. The historic floods are being blamed on heavy rain combined with melting snow from the mountains. Officials say the park will be closed at least through Wednesday. Website: weather, wyoming, montana

I live in BC, Canada and last year we had the worst fires we’ve ever seen, followed by the worst flooding we’ve ever had. It was basically smoky all summer, small towns were destroyed in the fire and the flooding destroyed a major highway that’s still being rebuilt. Hoping this won’t happen again to us :(

My buddies and I were literally there this past weekend to visit and camp there. It did rain a LOT on Sunday when we left.

a good example of how bad and misleading the news media is to make a story exciting; that wasn´t a home and the homeowner did not leave in the morning. That was a lodge owned by the park and used to house employers.

Yeah bad that the rushing floodwaters eroded the soil beneath that house however, I'm going to hire those architects & engineers that built that house. The house is a literal "tank" for not buckling when tipped over the edge.
