Wrap Around Journal Cover--tutorial

Welcome to my version of a journal cover made from a 9"x12" manila envelope. I hope you enjoy it!

Materials needed:

1 manila envelope 9"x12"
Heat N' Bond Light (or similar iron-on glue sheet product) 10"x13"
Fabric for journal cover 10 1/2" x 13 1/2"
Scrap fabric for inside spine 1) @ 1 1/4"x 9"
Cardstock for inside cover 1) @ 5 1/2"x 8 3/4", 1) @ 8 3/8" x 8 3/4"
Cardstock for inner stability 1) @ 8 1/2"x 11"
Cardstock to elongate flap and to stabilize flap 1) @ 9"x 8"
Glue like Fabri-tac or Fabri-fix
Helpful: bone folder, scoring board
Trims such as ruffle, lace , pom pom trim or desired decoration
Necessary: sewing machine, thread and closure of choice: elastic, button or ribbon, etc.
