Brother Halverson, I know this is long, I didn’t know where else to post this.
I am watching an episode of ward radio and saw that you got some internet hate for pleading with women to remain strong in their faith.
I was at fireside you gave at an Utah Valley single adult conference.
Your response to the cruel comments you have received brought me to tears. Not because it was heartfelt and sincere (though it certainly was) but because you were apologizing for something that was certainly nothing to apologize for.
My position as a sister in the church and temple worker is more than sufficient. The women who are attacking your video either don’t fully grasp the significance of temple work, and being a temple worker, or are ex/non members.
I would have loved to hear you inform your haters of just how important the women in the church are.
Any woman who is angry that they aren’t bishops or Priesthood holders, or are capable of commenting such ugly hurtful and hateful things to and/or about you, clearly does not appreciate the awesome responsibility that accompanies the power in the priesthood.
My mom taught me a song when I was young.

Look for beauty, and you’ll find beauty.
If you look for faults, you will find them.
Look for beauty, and you’ll find beauty, there.”

Too many people are looking for faults, and THAT is not your fault.

In all the years that you have been doing this and the ONLY thing the hate watchers have been able to pin on you was “sacrifice some of the worldly things and stay faithful to your covenants.”??

I was inactive for 20 years. I would say I’m even having a bit of a faith crisis right now. Please don’t apologize to people who are deliberately causing contention.

Dear Brother Halverson, I'm a 64.5 woman of faith, disciple of Jesus Christ, and follower of the living Prophet. I wanted to thank you for your truth and courage in what you said about women in this podcast. I have seen, firsthand, so many sisters (whom I love) turning from spiritual truths they used to know, forgetting what they've been taught by the Spirit and all the tender mercies God had shown them. It breaks my heart, as I'm a believer that we women have been endowed with special gifts, as well as a mission, to uplift, love, and bless humankind.

I’m late in the game. My heart has been sick as I have watched the many podcasts that are out there because of your lesson last week. I hope you know and believe that the majority of the women in the church do NOT feel like those that have come against you. PLEASE, PLEASE, be careful to not let them suck you in. Never, ever apologize for teaching the gospel. You have touched so many lives and have helped numerous amounts of Saints understand the gospel more fully. STAY TRUE TO THE FAITH. As a child, I was fearful of the days that proceed the Second Coming. I am in my late 50's and I am looking forward to the "Great and Dreadful Day". Thank you for your explanation of the "Progression between Kingdoms". That has been on my mind mainly because I'm the only active member of my family, the family that I was born into and the family that I was blessed with to nurture and love. My husband is not a member but has encouraged me to attend the temple. I continue to pray for and to love them. I do know that my Heavenly Father loves me, has a plan for me and I have to trust in Him.

I am SO grateful for you, Brother Halverson. Please don’t apologize for preaching the Gospel. My wife doesn’t usually get on YouTube, but she was listening when I was listening to your podcast with those women. As a woman, she does not feel at all represented by their views. I loved your discussion on progression between kingdoms. I find it interesting that it comes just after talking about how much the Lord values the agency of His children. On my mission, I had the chance to teach seminary using a teacher's seminary manual. I remember reading a quote talking about how the Savior’s atonement extends to all, and the sons of perdition aren't exempt, they’re just too prideful to humble themselves and do what is necessary to be saved by the Savior. If that is true, it makes me think agency may be an integral part in the progression question as well.

You are true to the faith and I know when we face opposition we are to stand firm against the pricks of opposition. Never forget when you teach correct principles knowing the knowledge expounds from Jesus Christ .. what Jesus says goes no argument !

Circumstances
prevented me from
me from my usual
addiction to this
channel but I'm back
and the needed
nourishment is like one
who has been on a
prolonged fast. I feel
as if I missed the boat
even though I was in a
land that I know and
love.
Your teaching and
expounding on this
gospel gives me a
new perception and
assimilation to truths
that penetrate so
deeply I actually ache
to live up to it all and
become this purified
angelic being. When
I'm enthralled in these
instructions and
schooling, I feel like I
will never, ever do
another thing to be
less than what God
intended. Then as life
is lived, I find out that
perfection is much
more difficult and
exigent than my
personal righteous
desires. I continue to
fight the good fight but
bruises and scars are
my sad realization that
perfection will allude
me in this lifetime.
That said, please know
that the time you
sacrifice to prepare
and share with those
of us who cherish
every moment and do all we can to live a Christ-like life, know the value of your words and work.
Our world is crumbling
with sin and to be
blessed enough to
partake of this "super
strengthening energy
pill" gives us the
resolve and boost to
just keep chugging
along like the little
engine that could, until
the Lord can say to us,

and faithful servant."
