Joe Biden speech interrupted by protester calling for ceasefire

A pro-Palestine protester interrupted president Joe Biden at an event in Illinois, calling for a ceasefire in Gaza on Friday 9 November.

“10,000 Palestinians have been killed in one month, half of them children,” she shouted, causing Mr Biden to halt his speech.

Demonstrators were also gathered outside the event in Belvidere chanting “ceasefire now.”

This week Mr Biden asked Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu to introduce daily four-hour pauses in its military campaign against Hamas, to allow residents to flee south, which he agreed to do.

French president Emmanuel Macron was the first western leader to call for a ceasefire, and said he hoped other leaders would follow.

It is a shame that in such a globally connected world, knowing very well who is the victim and who is the oppressor, we and especially the leaders and influencers turn a blind eye to all the atrocities just because it doesn't affect them directly. What if it was your loved one buried under a bombarded building, and when you dig them out, you only find pieces of their bodies!!?? The only way to identify your them is by the name written on their forearms, before the bombings! It depicts a horrible picture in your brain, doesn't it?? That's current Gaza for you, so shame on you then if you still haven't done anything to help the victims! To the least accept the truth, share the videos to create awareness, charity, take part in peaceful protests, don't vote for losers, or simply pray for them.
