Just a note: There's a "transfer all" button that transfers all materials at once, that you seem to not be using

I honestly think if they just increased the amount of resources you get from sources, it would be far better.

Damn, not a take you normally hear about the game but I appreciate your opinion. And I can see how it might not be for every one. Although as far as crafting survival games go I didn't feel it was grindy.

I find it interesting that you dislike repairing the car. Personnaly, I almost hope my runs go wrong and I have a really beat up car that I can take plenty of time to repair. That might be because I actually like fixing things in real life though.

It's gonna be a nice free PsPlus game or a grab at 5-10$ price range.

It sounds like the core game play loop didn't connect with you. The garage repair / upgrade cycle was very enjoyable to me, it gives you chance to make your car stronger and better. I also didn't try to stop for every bit of gear. I pushed forward to the objectives, and only did runs to farm for parts, when I felt like I was falling behind the power curve. If you prioritize getting the anchors, you can get multiple upgrades per run. I think it is my favorite new game game of 2024. Palworld and Enshrouded were both fun, but didn't do it for me. I think my three anticipated titles remaining this year are Lightyear Frontier, Frostpunk 2, and Space Marine 2. Caves of Qud is supposed to hit 1.0 later this year, and Dwarf Fortress adventure mode is coming soon too. I am also excited for multi-player in Planet Crafter.

I really wanted to enjoy it. But the act of playing it feels like a job. It feels so tedious.

I love the grind but the small maps is a huge miss for a game about driving a car.

I enjoyed the first half of it, and I enjoy the "chore" parts of the game to an extent, but the game just sorta peaks and then there's nothing to it. You realize all the game really comprises of is resource farming, and beyond that a very easy and uninteresting driving sim. Once you get the tier 3 car parts you'll never really feel the tension of your car being in peril, and you won't be that bothered about losing a run to an unfair gateway RNG roll over the other side of a cliff, because the game can fairly easily be beaten without any of the endgame crafted stuff. And the game lacks any real endgame/postgame gameplay mechanics that will make you wanna keep "doing runs".

Don't play EvE Online then. That MMO makes this game's complexity look like a intro class.
